If you’re heading from Whitianga (the nearest town), expect a 40-minute drive. You’ll follow the Pacific Coast Highway. When you arrive in Kūaotunu, Wharekaho Road, look for the iconic 'Lukes Kitchen' seaside restaurant and follow Blackjack Road for 14 mins to Opito Bay. As the lodge is off the beaten track, much of this scenic road is gravel, so please take your time and enjoy the views as the journey is well worth the destination. Should you require a shuttle from Kuaotunu village, this can be arranged.
